Stud farm of Marbach

An experience for everyone

With a history that dates back over 500 years, Marbach State Stud is Germany’s oldest state stud farm. Almost 1000 hectares of space are split across the three stud farms in Marbach, Offenhausen and St. Johann and provide space for around 550 horses. Noble warmblood stallions, lovable Black Forest chestnuts and proud purebred Arabians call this place home. In spring and summer, mares frolic in the meadows with their foals. High calibre events attract visitors all year round. Our stallion parades, which attract around 30,000 visitors from near and far to the Swabian Alb mountains on three days in autumn, are particularly popular. The stud farm is open to visitors all year round. Regular tours take place every Sunday and on public holidays and daily during the Baden-Württemberg holidays at 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Group and private tours can be arranged by individual appointment.
